Kottayam: A 63-year old madrassa teacher was detained for supposedly sexually abusing kids after luring them with candies, authorities said here on Sunday.
The detained, recognized as Yusuf, a resident of Kochi’s Aluva, was used at a nearby mosque in the area.
During the police interrogation, it was disclosed that he enticed minors with candies after which sexually attacked them in a private room once the primary Imam of this mosque was off.
It was also disclosed that he just trapped children under the age of age 10 since they had been an easy goal.
“The matter came to the light when a student narrated the ordeal to his parents, who then took up the matter with the mosque management following which a complaint was filed and a case was registered,” authorities said in a release.

Upon sustained interrogation, authorities discovered Yusuf turned into a habitual offender after he confronted sexual. He disclosed that he assaulted his abuser’s daughter and finally become a habitual predator.
