Hyderabad: It seems that the capital of Telangana, Hyderabad is witnessing a rise in crimes against women. Despite stringent laws and awareness campaigns, women are becoming victims of crimes.
In one such incident, a 16-year-old woman was gang-raped by three men. This incident took place in Jagadevpur on Wednesday night.
According to the report published in Times of India, it all started with a phone call. A few months ago, the girl had received a call from a strange person. Although, she disconnected call saying ‘wrong number’, the stranger called her on multiple occasions. Ultimately, the man and the girl become friend. Later, they fell in love.
On Wednesday, the victim went to meet the man. Taking advantage of the situation, the man and his two friends raped the girl.
After the incident, the girl approached the Jagdevpur Police and lodged a complaint.
Police registered a case under relevant sections of IPC and POCSO.
