Hyderabad: Diversion gangs- Yes, you heard it right the city is no longer safe unlike old times with these diversion gangs sprawling around the city.
From useful policemen to friendly passerby, excited salesman bringing you interesting remarkable deals discount rates at your doorsteps, these gangs turn up in any type as the criminal offense rate in the city is on the increase in a really brief period of time, TT reports.
The most current event in the city happened in Vanshthalipuram where a comparable gang left with the money box from the personnel of a business while they were packing money in an ATM centre at Panama Crossroads.
According to city authorities, these gangs are understood to follow different method operandi.
Some of them knock on your doors, pretending to be salespersons and loot females at knifepoint specifically housewives.
Some impersonating Policemen pretending to assist the senior loot them too.
“In most of the attention diversion cases, inter-State gangs are involved. And modus operandi differs from gang to gang,” stated a senior Special Operations Team authorities from Rachakonda.
But how does this method operandi works? Divert the attention of the victim by dropping a couple of currency notes or spraying something on the victim’s t-shirt or engaging him or her in spoken interaction; as soon as the attention of the victim is diverted, make great with the money bag or gold accessories.
“The task with probing cases where inter-State gangs are involved is that they are never confined to one place. They come to the city for a few days, loot and immediately leave with the booty. Sometimes, they will be on a spree committing a series of offences,” stated an authorities from the Task Force, Hyderabad.
