Hyderabad: One held for smuggling gold at RGI Airport

Hyderabad: Customs official on Saturday detained a passenger out of Rajiv Gandhi International Airport who had been responsible for smuggled gold values Rs 13 lakh.

“Passenger named Muhammed Anshad who arrived from Dubai was possessing 405.9 grams of smuggled gold in paste form,” stated a customs officer.

“The worth of the seized gold was Rs 13,08,215 in the black market,” added that the official.

A case was filed against the accused and additional investigation in the subject is evaporating.
