Mumbai: TV actor Karan Oberoi has been despatched to 14-days judicial custody by an Andheri Courtroom in reference to an alleged rape case towards him.
Oberoi was arrested on Might 6.
An FIR was registered at Oshiwara Police Station in Mumbai beneath sections 376 (rape) and 384 (extortion) of the Indian Penal Code towards Oberoi.
In accordance with the police, the actor allegedly raped the lady on the pretext of marrying her.
“Oberoi not solely raped the lady and filmed the act but in addition demanded cash from the sufferer threatening to launch the video if she didn’t pay up,” they mentioned quoting the FIR.
