Here we have shared a list of the most commonly used makeup products and their expiration times.
1). Mascara
You must throw your Mascara after every three months. Most ladies keep Mascaras for years but they don’t know that keeping mascaras for years can be harmful. Germs can get into Mascara because it’s tube is opened frequently. Bacteria can get into your mascara and can cause eye itchiness and eye redness. So be careful!
2). Foundation
Depending on the quality – discard it after 1 or 2 years. Foundations come in both liquid and powder form. If your foundation changes its color, smells different or starts to separate then it means that your foundation is expired.
3). Eyeliners
Eyeliner normally gets expired after every three months, depending on how much you use it. On the other hand, Pencil liners can be used for up to two years if you keep them sharpened and fresh.
4). Lipsticks / Lip Liners / Lip Glosses
Lipsticks and Lip Glosses: If your lipstick dries out or lip gloss gets more sticker than usual then it means that your products are expired and it’s better to change them.
Lip Liner: Liners can be used for two years or even more if you keep them sharpened.
5). Nail Polish
Mostly Expires After One Year. If your nail polish gets thicker with time, then it means that it’s expired. However, you can restore for a limited time period, by adding a little amount of nail polish thinner in it.
6). Body Lotion
Throw After Two Years – If your body lotion changes it’s color or smell different then you must throw it away. Don’t use it in expired condition because you are causing harm to your skin.
