Reuters- Facebook decides to launch a new centre in Ireland. Facebook is the new technology giant which is planning to setup an efficient system in Ireland stated by the social network on Monday. Facebook has applied of the permission to setup the centre which would be second in Europe after Sweden to run a cloud service. Customers can store and secure data on servers rather than on private computers. Ireland is rapidly becoming a cloud centre which is further helped by its moderate weather conditions and existence of several internet companies. The low tax rate has drawn companies’ attention. Apple stated that it is willing to spend 1.7 billion euros on 2 date centers in Ireland and Denmark (biggest investment). Microsoft and Google have also established data centers in recent years. Microsoft is occupied in a official battle with the government of US over the demand of storing the data in Irish data centre.
