Mumbai: Man booked for pronouncing ‘triple talaq’

Mumbai: A 35-year old Muslim guy was booked for pronuncing triple talaq to divorce his wife this past year at July from the Sakinaka Police that Saturday.

Triple Talaq has become punishable with three years in prison under the Muslim Women Ordinance, 2018(Protection on Right on Marriage).

The complainant triple talaq sufferer Tabassum Imran Sayed, elderly 34 a resident of Kurla, advised: “I had complained to police in January, but they were not registering the case under the new ordinance. After I gave them examples of registration of similar FIRs in other districts, they registered my FIR.”

According to reports, the duo got married in May 2005 according to Muslim staples in Uttar Pradesh and currently have two toddlers, mid. com reports.

Once Imran was jobless occasionally and did not have a permanent job, he asked her for cash.

The complainant has alleged that Imran had formerly required Rs 25 lakh at 2014 from her for purchasing a flat. He compelled her to ask her dad to that her father consented.

But 2 decades afterwards Imran supposedly assaulted her 2016 after she refused to give him cash to purchase a car but borrowed and lent him Rs 1 lakh.

Things went out of control when Imran started demanding money from her to begin a company. The duo began living independently since then.

The detained was currently booked under sections 498 (A), 494, 504, 506-II of those Indian Penal Code (IPC) and section 4 of The Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Ordinance, 2018.

According into the sufferer, “In July 2018, Imran abused me in public and said ‘talaq’ thrice and divorced me. He later married Shaikh.”

She additional,”He never gave me anything in writing. ) He did not even give me ‘Iddat’ [waiting period].”
